Duties of the dean's office

Principal duty of the dean's office is co-ordination of teaching, research and administration. This means in detail:

  • central office and information centre of the department
  • administration of budget resources (tangible means, means for universitary teahing positions, staff appropriations, ...),
  • scheduling of courses,
  • supply of information on studies (study and examination regulations, regulations for minor fields of study, ...),
  • affairs of structure, appointment and postdoctoral lecture qualification,
  • mentoring of the department's central bodies' affairs,
  • editing of the department's regulations (study and examination regulations, regulations for minor fields of study, promotion regulations),
  • release of reports and certificates.
